Services
Pre Contract
HCQS has vast experience of cost planning, pre-tender estimating, value engineering, tendering for clients and contractors and the production work schedule, specification and of bills of quantities in various formats including:

HCQS provide OJEU compliance and advice upon the threshold of tenders.
Tender review, contract analysis and preparation of contract documents can be undertaken by professionals experienced in both quantity surveying and legal support.
HCQS can provide project specific risk analysis services. This analysis can be based upon client-specific formats if required.
HCQS provide market testing capability.
Post Contract
Procurement and supply chain management services are provided generally as part of a project brief, usually undertaken in conjunction with the rest of the project team.
Interim applications/valuations and the agreement of such are an integral part of the HCQS service provided. Cash flow forecasting services are also undertaken should the client require it.
Variation and compensation event pricing, negotiation and final account agreement are routinely carried out by HCQS, who can provide this service either on a day rate basis or as a lump sum to be dependent upon the client’s requirements.
Cost and value reports / reconciliation can be produced by HCQS, usually in conjunction with the project team. This service can be based upon client-specific formats if required.
Contractual notices and correspondence can be produced by HCQS staff, utilising knowledge of all types of standard contract documentation and are able to work with non-standard forms.
Sub-Contractors
Sub-contractor account management can be undertaken by our experienced quantity surveyors. This service can be provided to a range of clients including building contractors, end-user clients and management contractors alike.
Risk management of sub-contract accounts can be executed either as part of an on-going project brief, or as an independent exercise to give cost certainty.
Contractual management can be provided on an on-going basis as part of a project brief and defence of claims can be undertaken should the need arise.
Expert Services
HCQS professionals are regularly appointed to provide independent quantum and technical analysis in connection with construction disputes, including formal expert witness appointments and support to ADR procedures including mediation and dispute review boards.
Arbitration and litigation support can also be provided in terms of assisting with the disclosure process, advising on specific evidence requirements and financial risk analysis

Commercial advice can be provided at any level by our highly experienced and flexible management team.
Our services can take the form of full time assistance to manage a project through from start to finish or temporary assistance to supplement a short-term assignment.
